Print Design
Design Evolution
I began my career in print newspaper design at The Washington Post, working initially in the sports department before moving to news. I designed front pages for major international events such as the death of Osama bin Laden, the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting, and the Boston Marathon bombing, as well as the Sunday edition and special projects. It was here that I found my love for visual storytelling and a fast-paced environment.
From there, I became Senior Project Designer at the Minneapolis Star Tribune, focusing on the Sunday edition and special projects, including election coverage. I later designed front pages and special projects for the Omaha World-Herald, refining my skills in impactful visual storytelling.
At Global Press, I continued to work in print design, creating collateral for fundraising and brand awareness including brochures, annual reports, and physical style guides. Additionally, I published a photo book titled Connected, using photography to explore the interconnectedness of human experiences.
