Intranet

How We Made It

As a global, multilingual remote organization, Global Press has long faced the challenge of ensuring equitable access to information across time zones, languages, and connectivity levels. In late 2024, I led the initiative to design and launch a streamlined intranet using Notion—a hub built to deliver critical updates, resources, and company communications in multiple languages tailored by team, role, and individual needs.

Prioritizing accessibility, I ensured the platform performs smoothly in low-bandwidth environments and is easily maintained by our distributed team. Over a focused three-month build, I organized and centralized resources, developed multilingual structures, and managed implementation from start to finish.

Since launch, our new intranet has unified workflows for distributing newsletters, announcements, policies, processes, and core resources. The new intranet enabled seamless, equitable access to vital information for our global team, bringing staff together, reducing missed updates and repetitive questions, and empowering more team members to maintain resources. With clear, accessible documentation and language support, onboarding is smoother and everyone stays informed—no matter their location or connectivity.
