How We Made It


When the pandemic hit, face-to-face fundraising came to a halt and Global Press needed to completely reimagine how we reached potential donors. In response, I led the redesign of our fundraising site as project manager, product manager, content producer, designer and creative lead, working in close partnership with Global Press founder and CEO Cristi Hegranes, and our web developer, Andy Neale. Together, we crafted an interactive hub where funders — current and prospective — could quickly find what mattered most to them, whether they sought a fast overview or a deep dive into our unique impact. We built the site on Webflow for easy updates and content management systems to allow for team members without any web dev skills to edit the site.

We introduced live chat and meeting scheduling for real-time connection, and produced FAQ videos that put our team front and center. To meet the needs of donors, we create a diligence page with all of the information foundations need to move a donation through the process. We produced impact timeline videos to showcase exactly how the work we were doing was changing the world and produced digital annual reports to highlight our achievements each year.

We measured success by more than just site traffic—we focused on funding results. The outcome: Global Press doubled its revenue in 2021 and saw a 63% increase in giving from existing partners.
